Working Together
Everything you need to know before we start. Process, timelines, what I need from you, and what you can expect from me.
The Process
Every project follows this proven structure. It keeps things predictable, ensures quality, and makes the whole experience smoother for everyone.
We start with a conversation. I need to understand your learners, your constraints, what success looks like, and what's been tried before. This is also where we figure out if we're a good fit.
I create the blueprint. Learning objectives, content structure, assessment strategy, visual direction. You'll review storyboards before any development begins. Changes here are cheap; changes later are expensive.
This is where the course comes to life. Interactive modules, scenarios, assessments, media integration. You'll see progress throughout and have opportunities to provide feedback on working prototypes.
Testing, LMS integration, and handover. I don't disappear after delivery. You get documentation, training on how to make minor updates, and support for any teething issues.
Timelines
It depends on complexity. Here's what's typical for different project types. These assume good access to SMEs and timely feedback.
2-4 weeks
15-30 minute interactive module. Includes discovery, storyboard, development, and one round of revisions.
6-12 weeks
3-6 modules forming a complete learning program. Phased delivery with checkpoints throughout.
3-6 months
Full compliance program with multiple modules, assessments, reporting. Often ongoing with annual updates.
1-3 weeks
Brand strategy, marketing collateral, or design assets. Depends on complexity and revision rounds.
SME availability, feedback turnaround, content complexity, regulatory requirements, and existing content quality all play a role. The discovery phase gives us a realistic picture.
Your Role
The best projects happen when we're both invested. Here's what makes things run smoothly.
One person who can make decisions, gather feedback, and keep things moving. Design by committee creates delays.
When I send something for review, getting feedback within 3-5 business days keeps momentum. Delayed feedback delays delivery.
Your SMEs know the content. I need to talk to them, not just receive documents. Real conversations produce better learning.
Whatever you have — policies, procedures, old training, brand guidelines. Even if it's messy. It's faster to improve than create from scratch.
Knowing your budget helps me design a solution that fits. I'd rather right-size a project than discover misalignment later.
I'll push back on things that won't work. I'll suggest alternatives you haven't considered. That's what you're paying for.
Investment
I don't publish fixed pricing because every project is different. But here's what you can expect, and how I think about scope and value.
To make the best use of both our time, I typically work on projects starting at $5,000 AUD. This allows enough scope to do the discovery work properly and deliver something that actually moves the needle.
Smaller projects are possible for existing clients or when the scope is very well-defined.

Common Questions
Healthcare and aged care is my primary focus. I understand clinical workflows, ACQS standards, infection control protocols, and the unique challenges of training distributed workforces. That said, the principles of good learning design apply everywhere — I've also worked in corporate, government, and education sectors.
Yes, though the approach might look different. Smaller organisations often need more scalable solutions — templates that can be updated internally, simpler technical setups, or phased approaches that spread investment over time. The discovery phase helps us find the right fit for your capacity.
eLearning: Articulate Storyline (my primary tool), Articulate Rise for responsive courses, Camtasia for video. SCORM/xAPI for LMS integration.
Design: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma for UI/UX.
Web: HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, various no-code platforms for client sites.
I'm tool-agnostic — the right tool depends on your needs, existing systems, and internal capabilities.
Minor updates within 30 days of delivery are included. After that, I offer ongoing support packages or can quote individual updates.
I also provide source files and training so your team can make simple changes independently — things like updating dates, swapping images, or fixing typos.
Almost certainly. I've worked with Moodle, Totara, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, LearnUpon, and many others. All courses are delivered as standard SCORM packages that work with any compliant LMS. If you have specific tracking requirements (xAPI, custom reporting), we'll discuss that in discovery.
Sometimes, depending on current capacity. Rush projects (significantly compressed timelines) typically carry a 25-50% premium to account for the schedule disruption. That said, I'd rather discuss whether we can phase delivery or find other solutions before jumping to rush pricing.
Start with a conversation. Use the contact form or email me directly. Tell me about your challenge — doesn't need to be a formal brief.
We'll have a discovery call (usually 30-45 minutes) where I learn about your needs and you learn about my approach. If it's a fit, I'll send a proposal with scope, timeline, and investment.
No obligation, no pressure. If I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you.
Yes. Several clients retain me for ongoing learning design support — regular content updates, new module development, or embedded roles within their L&D function. Retainers are structured monthly with agreed deliverables or hours. They work well for organisations with continuous training needs.

No formal brief needed. Just tell me about your challenge and we'll figure out the best path forward together.
